Crom Estate Holiday Cottages
The National Trust has seven beautiful holiday cottages set on the shores of Upper Lough Erne in the spectacular nature reserve of Crom, one of the Trust's most important nature reserves with an award-winning visitors centre. The romantic setting of the demesne, its harmony of parkland, woodland, water and historic buildings makes Crom an exceptional place.
From the seven cottages one is specially adapted for the less able-bodied. The cottages sleep from two to six people. Available for short breaks and week bookings.
Crom is one of Ireland's most important nature conservation areas with many rare species, including red squirrels and the elusive pine marten. The reserve (1900 hectares) includes the largest surviving area of oaks in Northern Ireland. There are nature trails, a programme of guided walks, boats for hire, you can hire a boat and join an overnight wildlife excursion. Fishing licences are available. There is also an interesting Environmental Sculpture Trail. The Kingfisher Trail for cyclists, runs through the property. Enniskillen, where Upper and Lower Lough Erne unite, is a charming place and not far away.
