All Saints Barn at Fincham's Farm
Fincham's Farm is a series of farm buildings, which are about 300 years old and have recently been developed. They provide a rustic and very attractive group around a courtyard. On the farm there are goats, ducks, geese, hens, a riding pony, and some sheep.
The traditionally decorated house has four bedrooms and an open plan platform that sleeps four people. With six people you can stay in a very special accommodation: the recently renovated eco-cabin/ straw-bale house. The campsite has place for tents and has a fireplace and a ping-pong table. Bridget welcomes guests who would like to work a few hours each day on the farm in exchange for board and lodging. Children of over five years can help feeding the animals.
The surrounding area offers tranquil countryside, endless meadows and moorland, beautiful walks in Thetford Forest or East Wretham Nature Reserve, with its almost steppe-like flora and charming well-preserved market towns such as Diss and Thetford. Maps and information on the region are available at the farm. Foxley Wood is the largest remaining area of ancient woodland in Norfolk. NWT East Wretham Heath (5km north east of Thetford) consists of 143 ha of heath, meres and woodland. A very attractive place for walkers and bird watchers.
