Stary Młyn
An old mill is carefully and recently converted into an agrotourism farm. It is located on the Pukawka River. Its old reservoirs for breeding all kinds of fresh water fish, like trout, sturgeon, pike, carp and tench, are still being used. The old mill house is surrounded by forests. Close to the house they grow all kinds of vegetables in a small garden.
The Old Mill has 5 big rooms with bathrooms that sleep up to 19 people. On the groundfloor there is a living room with a kitchen, two bathrooms in the hall and a cloakroom. The host himself prepares and serves fish dishes (also smoked fish) from his own fish pond and cakes such as sour cherry cake and apple pie. Other attractions include angling, wild mushroom hunting, fish smoking and partying with a great band.
There is a wonderful bike route to Treblinka, the village where the old concentration camp used to be. You can find out about early medieval settlements in Niewiadoma and Nur Kolonia, Ołtarze-Gołacze. If you love old manors, there is a manor complex in Kupientyn, Grodzisk, Kurowice and Bachorza and numerous manors and palaces in the neighbouring city of Sokołów Podlaski. Nature lovers can discover the Bug Landscape Park. And the little town of Nur has its modest attractions, like the scenic overlook by the Bug River, the sacral complex of the Transfiguration Parish Church, the wooden clergy house at the Saint John the Apostle Church and a Roman period settlement in Łęg Nurski.
