At the educational cattle and nature farm Hamster Mieden the essential theme is learning to appreciate animals and nature. This is possible in an adventurous way by participating in the care of the flora and fauna in and around the farm and the nature reserve Hamster Mieden. Several programmes are offered to groups by qualified and experienced teachers, in cooperation with IVN* and Staatsbosbeheer*. The accommodation is not only fit for individual guests, it is particularly fit for school groups. The farm offers complete arrangements with educative programmes about nature and environment. The farm has been built nature, environment and animal friendly. The roof is made of grass and the walls of straw and loam. The electricity and hot water are generated by solar panels and the waste water is filtered. It is possible to help with the farmwork for board and lodging.

For rent are five rooms for two till eight persons in the former cowshed. The rooms have communal sanitary facilities and their is a common room. You can make use of the kitchen but full board is also possible. In the farmyard there are pitches for some tents in the summer season.

Around the accommodation is nature reserve Drogehamster Mieden. In the surroundings there are several walking routes. Also, you can take part in various excursions. Natural swimming water is nearby.
