Green Lodge
Green Lodge is situated in a peaceful rural area in West Cork, not far from the Bantry Bay at the feet of the Shehy Mountains. The house has mature gardens, an organic orchard and vegetable gardens.
There are four self-catering apartments (sleeping two to five) for the vegan and vegetarian traveller. Each apartment has its own private entrance and en suite bathroom. A cooker, fridge and all the cooking utensils you will need are provided. Organic vegetables and wholefoods for sale. Cot available for babies. Heating, linen and towels are included in the price. Common facilities like computer with internet, table tennis, laundry service and, if required, babysitting.
Ballylickey lies at a bay close to Bantry. Enjoy views over the sea and the Caha Mountains of Beara. You can sail, canoe or watch dolphins and whales. The green valley’s inland will give access to a large nature reserve with huge old oaks, yew trees, birds of prey, deers and hares. The moss-grown banks of the fast-flowing streams are a excellent place for a picknick. In Bantry you can visit the art collection in the eightteenth century Bantry House. Within easy reach are the Beara Penninsula,Sheeps Head, Crookhaven, Mizen Head, Cape Clear Island and Sherkin Island. A little further afield is Blarney Castle and its famous stone, Killarney and the Dingle Peninsula.
