Graianfryn Vegetarian Guesthouse

Location and atmosphere

Set in magnificent countryside, Graianfryn is on the northern edge of the Snowdonia National Park between the mountains and the sea. Christine and Alan are keen walkers and cyclists, and thus understand the special needs of their guests.

Facillities

Three tastefully decorated bedrooms with stripped pine furniture. Double room en suite room with views of the hills behind Graianfryn. One double room with splendid views across open countryside to Anglesey and the Menai Strait with original Victorian tiled fireplace, beams and a kingsize pine bed. This room shares the large bathroom with the twin room that shares the same views to Anglesey and features stripped pine floor and furniture. Lounge with open fire, books and games. Dinner with mostly organic ingredients, sometimes from the own vegetable garden. Vegans and special diets are catered for.

Surroundings and activities

Snowdonia National Park was established in 1951. There are several paths up Snowdon, the easiest of which starts just 5 km away in Llanberis, where you will also find the only rack and pinion railway in Britain, which will take you to the highest summit south of the Scottish border. Snowdonia National Park offers gentle walks to Llyn Idwal or Aber Falls, and also strenuous climbs for serious walkers and rock climbers. The magnificent Caernarfon Castle and the beaches can easily be reached from Penisar Waun.
