Although Quinta da Picota is near Lisbon, it looks out over pristine hills abundant with wildlife and plants. Mediterranean style of house, 8 years old, with organic garden, pine and eucalyptus forest with scattering of fruit and cork trees. Situated on a hill looking to the south, sloping valley with mountain view. Owner José Joaquim grows vegetables, medicinal herbs and fruit. He uses the home-grown organic produce in the vegetarian meals he serves.

You can choose from single and double rooms -and appartments. Each room is served with laundry facilities. There is a common kitchen and game room. Use of the common kitchen is possible for campers (small fee) A large range of organic and home-made products are for sale at the farm. If wished all meals can be served at the farm: de kitchen is organic and vegetarian.

You can attend various courses, such as vegetarian cooking, basket weaving, organic farming and yoga. José is happy to accompany you on walks, cycling tours or trips by car. In the near surroundings sportive people can play tennis, golf, ride a horse and there is a swimmingpool.
