Ekocentrum ICPPC
This farm is the seat of the ICPPC. (International Coalition to protect the Polish Countryside) The 100 year old traditional farmhouse was fully renovated in 1999 in traditional wood and stone. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the house is a shrine to modern ecological living, with solar panels and many other innovations throughout. The farm and Ecocentre are 100% organic and GMO free . The farm offers adventure or solitude for whoever seeks it, with many marked walking and cycling paths leading through beautiful valleys, golden fields and peaceful meadows. In winter, visitors can partake of cross country or downhill skiing in the surrounding countryside.
You can choose from three rooms for one, two or three persons, with each a bathroom and kitchenette. You have a big garden at your disposal, also ideal for children, because it is fenced. They can play the ball, badminton and play in the sandpit. Near the house there is also a small swimming-pool for them. You can order a typical rich Polish breakfast made of products from local farms or a traditional Polish dinner. Products from the farm are for sale. In the Ecocentrum they offer courses clay-and-straw building, renewable energy sources, organic and traditional farming, vanishing occupations and many more. See www.icppc.pl.
The Malopolska region is amazingly rich in both natural and historical treasures. The farm is only 50 km from Kraków, yet nestled in the beautiful Beskidy mountains, covered with forests housing deer and badgers. Visitors can enjoy the wonderful parks and reserves in the area and pay a visit to the famous Babia Góra National Park, only 40km away, is a must. Within 10km of Stryszów there are a number of castles, monasteries and mansions to visit, including the house that Pope John Paul II was born in in Wadowice, only 14km away.
