Dom nad Wierzbami
‘Dom nad Wierzbami’ is a warm house built of a hundred-year-old logs, perfectly matching the landscape of the Bug riverside meadows. Here there is an abundance of nature within the Bug marshlands which is a Natura 2000 Area. The organic farm is located in a village on the bank of the Bug River. They grow all kinds of vegetables and fruit. The house is overlooking the river, where you can swim and fish. You can go for long walks along the riverbank and encounter much wildlife, even in the nearby forests. The host organizes guided educational nature trips. Cooking workshops are available for adults and children (10 years and older). We teach cooking based on old, traditional recipes, including preserves made of fruit, vegetables and mushrooms. We also offer professional classic massage.
They have prepared 5 rooms on the first floor and 2 bathrooms (plus a toilet on the ground floor). There are 3 triple rooms and 2 double rooms there. Guests can also enjoy a living room with a fireplace, satellite TV, a spacious terrace and a large garden. Full board is possible. Meals are made of traditional, organic products. Polish cuisine is preferred with focus on local recipes, including vegetarian meals. We often serve fish from the river. The hosts eat together with guests, just like with family. Our guests can rent bicycles, a fishing boat and 2 double kayaks.
Next to the fantastic walking and biking opportunities you can visit several regional museums like the Kurpie Smithy Museum in Pniewo and the Museum of Ethnography and History in Kamieńczyk.
