Halfway the island of Terschelling Acommodation Doeksen is located in Oosterend, at the foot of a lovely dune area. Oosterend is the last village of this splendid island, on 13 km from the ferry and bordering nature reserve the Boschplaat. This accommodation is comfortable and suitable for children. The owners pay attention to environment-friendly management; they are received the European Union Ecolabel, the Green Key (gold) and the Dutch Milieukeur label.

You can stay in one of the five double rooms en-suite on base of bed and breakfast. Also there are two apartments for four persons and there is a group accommodation for 82 people in total. There are also familiy rooms. Breakfast is served in your room, in the communal room or in the restaurant.There are lots of opportunities for recreation, indoor and outdoor, like skittles, bowling, darts, table tennis, football and karts. Very special are the ‘relax garden’ with wood-burning hot tubs and the Finnish sauna, for ultimate relaxation in all seasons. Sometimes a recreational programme is offered; you can rent many things for children as well as bikes.

The accommodation is located on 2.5 km from the beach of the North Sea and on 500 m from the Wadden Sea. On the island you can bicycle and walk as much as you like, for example to the Boschplaat. You can visit the Koffiemolen in Formerum (working wind mill where you can also have coffee), pick organic strawberries yourself, pay a visit to the Wrakkenmuseum (wrecked ships museum) or visit a cranberry wine maker. If you like barn theatre and other theatre on location, you should not miss the famous Terschelling Oerol Festival in summer.
