This nature campsite is a special part of a spaciously and large-scale campsite. It is located lovely in a rolling river dune landscape by the river the Vecht in the province of Overijssel. On and around the campsite are many rare plants, special birds and deer and so on.

At the nature campsite there is place for 26 tents or caravans. At the large campsite there are also completely equipped tents and small summer houses for rent. There are holiday homes for rent, too. There is always a pitch for walkers or cyclists. On the premisses you find an organic food shop, a tearoom and a terrace. In the shop you can buy hot, organic pizza’s. You can sail on the river the Vecht; canoes are for rent. For swimmers there is a landing. A brochure with elaborate information is available on request. The camping has got the Dutch ecolabel ‘de gouden Milieubarometer (gold environmental barometer), which means it is very environmental friendly. For this campsite a nature camping card (natuurkampeerkaart) is required which you can buy at the campsite. Dogs are not allowed on the premisses.

The surroundings offer a large choice of routes for walking and cycling; the Vechtwandelpath runs over the terrain; the cycle route the Speltfietsroute will guide you along a few spelt-mills, spelt fields and restaurants where this old grain is on the menu. Good possibilities for hiking you will find on the hills of Lemeler- and Archemerberg. In the neighbourhood there are diverse small museums; further away Eerde Castle, Educational Centre Vecht-Regge in Ommen (ecological walks), cheese farm Dalmsholte and Ice cream Farm De Meulenhorst (organic farmer’s ice cream) are certainly worth a visit.
