Landgoedcamping het Meuleman
In the beautiful nature area Het Lutterzand you will find campsite Het Meuleman. The campsite is 7 hectare and is part of the Landgoed (country estate) Het Meuleman. This estate originates from the beginning of last century by acquisition of a textile family of Twente. The actual property covers 320 ha of farmland, woods and nature area with heather and juniper bushes. The estate also has a sawmill. The campsite was formed by nature and about 2 ha is a sanctuary and breeding place for the animals living here.
On the campsite you will find spacious pitches (30 for tents and 70 for caravans) all supplied with water and electricity. The accommodation offers excellent sanitary facilities, a volleyball field, a jeu de boules lawn, a midgetgolf court and a big pool for swimming with a beach. For rent is a fully equipped holiday home for six till eight persons. The restaurant at the campsite offers a special meals service for the camping guests.
The campsite is situated in an environment with woods, alternated by heathland and bushes. Nearby the little river the Dinkel streams in a landscape of sand drifts. You can discover this part of beautiful Twente by foot or by bike. In the vicinity you find lots of havezaten* and castles like Havezate the Everloo in Rossum, House Singraven with water mill in Denekamp or the Bentheim Castle in Bad Bentheim in Germany. * Havezate = a large, reinforced farmstead or later: country estate.
