Boerderij de Cinquant
This characteristic farm is located in the main ecological structure, the Dutch network of nature reserves. This a mixed organic farm with cattle breeding, forests and arable farming. It has been in the family for generations. The farmer works according to a Nature Farm Planning Scheme, which ensures that on the grounds (with footpaths) the nature is present everywhere. The farmer is eager to give tours of the farm upon agreement. At the farm handicapped people help as farm hands. They drink coffee and tea in the canteen, where the camping guests are also welcome.
The spacious campsite borders a forest and the facilities are modern, spacious and wheelchair accessible. There are fifteen pitches for camping; you are supposed to park your car a little further away. The farm sells organic products to their guests.
The farm is located in a very diverse landscape of woods. Nearby is a nest buzzards with their young ones. The nature reserve St. Antonis and the bordering woods house moorland sheep from the Kempen (characteristic area in Brabant) and Highland cows. The Mookerheide is a lovely heath and woods area with panoramas over the river Maas. You can also visit mills, the fortified town of Grave and diverse museums.
