The large Koos Vorrink Friends-of-Nature house is situated in the middle of the woods, just outside the touristic village of Lage Vuursche.

The house, with 103 beds in total, has two wings of sleeping quarters. Two bedrooms are accessible for wheelchairs-users. Further, there are renewed modern rooms with their own terrace, a big kitchen and modern sanitary facilities. There are playing facilities for children as well as for adults. The house offers group-arrangements on request. Every year there are three special weeks for seniors. For groups of more than ten persons programmes in nature and environment are offered.

From the house you may dwell over heather and sand-dunes and through endless forests. The foresteer will be enthusiastic to inform you about nature, just like the staff of the nearby Bosboerderij. You can swim in the Bosbad of Baarn or in the swimparadises of Soest or Amersfoort. You can have lovely cycle-tours on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, the forest of De Vuursche, the sand-dunes at Soest and in Het Gooi. Just like in the estate of Pijnenburg and the region around the castle of Groeneveld. In the areas of Staatsbosbeheer at the Heuvelrug it’s allowed to ignore the official walkingpaths. In Oud Loosdrecht you can rent a boat and in Kortenhoef a canoe.
