Lamminkangas is a small organic farm at a distance of 20 km from Saarijärvi. The farm offers traditional log buildings ranging from rustic outbuildings to a quality flat for self-catering hire, both in summer and in wintertime (booking well in advance essential). Please note mostly the minimum stay of 1 week. In summer also shorter visits are possible if there is space. During high season, some of the buildings are hired through Lomarengas holiday company, in which case this company takes care of reservations and apply their own pricing. Otherwise reservations are made directly to the owner (who is living only part of the year on the farm).

The buildings are scattered around the 10 hectares area of the farm. Lamminkangas, Liinaranta and Piennarpää are well-equipped flats with all conveniences, sleeping max. 6-12 persons. Riihi is a rustic-style accommodation, sleeping 4+4 persons, (electricity, cold running water, cooking facilities, sauna) and Valonranta sleeps 2+2 persons (cooking facilities, no electricity, water from the well, sauna). There are also simple outbuildings for hire for low-budget travellers.

The farm is located in the heritage landscapes of Saarijärvi and surrounded by large areas of wilderness. In the summertime, sheep are grazing on the farm. Downhill from the main building there is a large forest pond suitable for swimming. Local attractions include the scenic area of Julmat lammit (12 km), a Stone Age village (30 km), the National Parks of Pyhähäkki and Salamanperä as well as Kulhanvuori (30-50 km). In the summer there are also outdoor theatre performances, museums, dances and an aquatic animal park in the region.
