The Ilola farm, situated in Metsäkansa of Valkeakoski county offers meals, accomodation, catering, conference services, training and many different activities. Ilola yard also operates the cafe restaurant Wanha Asema (The Old Station). At the station is also a shop and a post office. The farm produces grain, vegetables, root crops and berries. Cattle, sheep, poultry and pigs are raised. In the café restaurant own organic bread and other organic food from the region is served. Also farm wines by pre-order.

The human population of the farm consists of three generations from the babe to the grandpa, all active in running the operation. Ilola is an ideal location for families, adults and groups, such as businesses and associations (10-125 persons). The dining hall of the main building can be used for different functions, such as festivities and meetings. Also Christmas and midsummer festivities are organized for groups.

For the guests,there are many activities to choose from: on the farm you can try horseback riding, horse cart rides, mini golf, yard games, looms for weaving and upon request sugar moulding. Row boats, bicycles and snow shoes are for hire. In the winter you can try cross country skiing, skating and kick sledding (5 kick sleds). There are also handicraft exhibits with the possibility to experiment at the "Kudonta-mutteri". Other alternatives include rail rally in August, Christmas and summer markets and Theme days. Nearby are a scenic bike route, Tarpia River canoe route, cruises on the lake, swamp walks, tennis, golf and ski slope (14 km). There are also many cultural sights in the region, such as the Metsäkansa village church 1 km, Visavuori and the Kari-pavilion 17 km, Tuomarla heritage farm 5 km.
