Villa Westergård
Villa Westergård is a course centre in the vicinity of Tammisaari (15 km). The main building dates back to 1886. The farm has Icelandic horses, goats, dogs, cats and rabbits. Your hostess is a shindo instructor, as well as a couple therapist, a Tantra and meditation teacher. The farm includes a small garden, and the buildings are being renovated using timber, clay and traditional paints.
For the visitors are available simply decorated rooms sleeping two to four persons, on the first floor of the main building, sharing toilets, showers, a sauna and a quiet/meditation room. Also camping is possible. Breakfasts and vegetarian meals are provided (some 90% of the ingredients are organic). House specialities include non-yeast spelt bread and various goats cheeses. The guest rooms are in connection to the community living space so staying here is more like staying in the family home than staying at a hotel!
The Centre offers courses e.g. Tantra and meditation. Shindo massage and stretching as well as couple or personal counceling on appointment. Visitors can take part in such work as traditional milk processing. The environment around the farm is versatile with plenty of forests suitable for walks in nature and there is a cycling route. Bicycles, a kayak and a rowing boat are available. The farm is situated on a cape close to the seashore, and there is also a lake only 200 metres from the farm. Volunteers willing to work on the farm for a free stay are welcome in summertime between mid April and end of June. Other times you are welcome to participate in the community and counrtylife or just come for a retreat.
