This Asturian Casona built of stone and wood in the late nineteenth century has been carefully restored into a comfortable and cozy hotel. There are 10 double rooms and 2 special rooms, all with en suite bathroom as well as a lounge with fireplace, a panoramic reading room, and terraces with views of the Picos de Europa. The Hotel is surrounded by its own organic farm of 70.000 square meter with wild flower meadows, an apple orchard, a vegetable garden and native breeds. It is situated on the southern slopes of a small valley next to the Sueve Protected Landscape. The Hotel was winner of the Organic Food and Biodiversity award.

The restaurant is well known for its excellent and imaginative home cooking with emphasis on the use of organic, local and homegrown products. There is always a vegetarian option. The hotel has extensive information of walking in the area including maps and self-guided walking routes.

National Park Picos de Europa is a wonderful setting for hiking and mountain-climbing, wildflower-spotting and bird-watching, scenic drives through the valleys and villages. Natural Park de Ponga is a beautiful but less well known mountain region. The Sueve Protected Landscape is a coastal mountain range. The Cantabrian coast has sandy beaches, dramatic cliff tops and small fishing villages.
