The farm, a former iron foundry, stands in a peaceful mountain valley near the Basque coast. There are cows, horses, chickens and a large herd of sheep that provide milk for home-made organic cheese. Owners Willem and Contxi demonstrate their cheese-making methods and also show guests how to comb and spin wool and weave fabric. Their daughters play Basque music on a soinu (a basque accordion) and pandoreta (tambourine). Guests may help tend the farm animals. An organic grocery store on the premises sells fruit, vegetables, home-made cheese, jam, cider and buttermilk.

Between the stables and the farm is the guest cottage, with kitchen, bathroom, sitting room and three bedrooms for up to seven people. Next door is ‘The Hostel’, with two rooms and bunk beds for up to 14 guests. Both houses can only be rented out as a whole. Hostel guests and campers use the farm’s toilets, showers, sitting room (with fireplace) and kitchen. All guests should bring their own towels; hostel guests should also bring their own sleeping bags. The surrounding area offers many walking, cycling and caving opportunities. Plenty of tourist information is available. Guests can choose from several beautiful beaches (approx. 12 km away).
