Casa Pousadoira
This former farm stands at the edge of a small hamlet, 9 km inland from the north-western coast of Galicia. It belongs to Begonia and her husband, an enthusiastic young couple who began growing grapes in the year 2000. They also have chickens and rabbits on the property. The property features a horreo (a traditional granary on stilts). Guests have a view of the crop fields and woods.
The house has been renovated and decorated with lots of character. It has six double rooms with bathroom, and three have a sitting/dining room. Breakfast is included in the room price, lunch and dinner are available. All meals are prepared mainly with produce from the organic vegetable garden on the premises.
The surroundings are hilly and wooded. There are beautiful footpaths for walks in the mountains, twenty km further inland. The Lambre river, offering swimming and fishing, is only 500 m from the house. The town of Miño has a beautiful beach and offers many recreational activities on the water. It is also one of the towns on the Camino de Santiago trail.
